Lion's Gateway Tarot

This card often comes with a lot of hopeful messaging, a lot of platitudes, and very often unwanted advice about how to feel.
Today just go ahead and feel whatever this is and don't judge it. It's a normal part of life. Whatever function it serves will make itself apparent to you in the next few days. Don't worry about it.

A lot of us are headed back to quarantine. This is going to be so much different than the last time.
For one thing, we've learned that there are a lot of things we can do without and really don't miss. We've gotten better at using the time and don't feel as lost and directionless as we did before.
Maybe we've gotten better at life in general.

This message is not meant to be glib and ignore the hardships so many people face in the pandemic. It's only meant to remind us how resilient we are.

This is yesterday's card but I messed up and lost the message that went with it, but roughly it was something about not ignoring those swords of Damocles hanging over your head. I know a rest sounds seductive, but better take care of what you need to do and then you can have the rest of a Hero.

A moment of clarity, a flash of insight could sort out a lifetime of ambiguity about something that has troubled you. Nurture that moment like the delicate seedling of a strong tree that will bear a lifetime of fruit. You don't have to completely understand it all at once, but know that it is worth keeping and caring for as it takes hold and develops roots.

I know you're really busy but don't be so up your own that you can't see when someone near you needs assistance. Be present. Be helpful. It'll be the most important thing you'll accomplish that minute.

What are you "over?" This year has caused a lot of recalibration of priorities. Everyone now has a "discard" pile. These are the things we just don't have room or time for anymore. No space in the garage even.
As you think about all the things you are thankful for, it might be just as important to identify what no longer serves any purpose for you. And be thankful you figured it out.

The Labyrinth Oracle: Cards for the Spiritual Path
Author: Walter D. Pullen, Illustrator: Kathy Pullen

Most people know the story of Icarus, the boy who flew too high, to close to the sun. and paid a big price for that.
But not everyone remembers that icarus was also warned not to fly too low lest his wings become wet from the sea mist that would weigh him down and be as fatal as flying too high.

(there is also the often forgotten part about why Icarus and Daedalus were imprisoned in the first place and needed wings but that gets pretty weird!)

Happy Saturday.

Don't get pulled into other people's arguments and dramas. Wait before responding, that is if you have to respond at all.

It's a high frequency day. If you want to tune in and be part of it, take a few moments to close off the duller frequencies that are blocking you. Don't worry, you can pick them up later if you want. 😉

Got a case of "Bats in the Belfry?" It happens. But don't let it win because it's not leading to anything good for you. Do whatever you need to do to draw your focus back. A brisk walk might do it, focusing on a project, playing with your dog, whatever it is do it and chase those bats away.

In some traditions the appearance of a feather is a sign that after a period of difficulty or grief, things are going to be okay, they are going to turn around. There will be a healing.
Today just try to keep that in mind along with knowing that the trouble you've been experiencing will underline the upturn and make it more meaningful, more joyous, more appreciated.

Since plans have become pretty much a thing of the past, it's easy to lose track of time. This is not necessarily a bad thing (as a temporary situation). Try to embrace this feeling of being unmoored and see what you can learn about yourself from it. Don't let it get the best of you. You can get the best of it.

There are a few limiting forces at play right now and this could be affecting you, making you feel anxious or frustrated. A lot of these forces are things you have no control over at all. Take some time for learning. Or hobbies you've been neglecting. That will be a good use of this otherwise useless time and take your mind of the vibes that are tying to pull you down.

You may get startled out of a pleasant sleep. Something you've been neglecting or simply didn't realise needs doing, will make itself suddenly apparent to you. This is a good thing. The fact you are seeing it clearly now indicates you are ready for it.
