The One - Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee (sufi mystic and teacher)

Post by Diana »

A friend sent me the other day a link to a most extraordinary interview with Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, a sufi mystic and teacher. It was the first time that I'd heard of Vaughan-Lee and I had never before actually taken the time to learn anything about sufism. Probably due to some preconceived ideas of what it was about (preconceived ideas are never good ideas!!) So I was most curious and went over to youtube to listen.

I would like to share it with you. In case it touches someone else's heart like it did to me.

Rumi was asked “which music sound is haram?” Rumi replied, "The sound of tablespoons playing in the pots of the rich, which are heard by the ears of the poor and hungry." (haram means forbidden)
