There is a feature here that allows you to @ another member.
Use it and that person will see a notification that will direct them to the post.
In typical online forum style, the process is a teensy wonky but it works great.
When writing a post,
The bb code "mention" will appear, just like when you make text bold etc.
When you submit the post, the username will appear in red and the user you @'ed will receive a notification.
Easy peasy.
Also, a little trick, if you type the @ symbol and start typing the name a dropdown list will appear that can be helpful. Try it you'll see what I mean.

- Type the full (Correct!) username of the person
- select the text of the username
- then click that "mention" tab in the upper left.
