details of the printing and marketing of this deck are all very well and good, but the really interesting question should focus on
the artist, whoever that was, who decided to incorporate the troubadour scene, which is not typical of a Besançon style deck.

I suppose this can simply be attributed to artistic/poetic license or something along those lines.
