Protocol

Thank you for taking a moment to familiarize yourself with the Cult of Tarot protocol.

From our side:

  • Forum Moderators are here to help the place run smoothly and to interfere as little as possible. We believe the forum should be member-driven in every way.
  • Technical issues will be addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible. If you experience any difficulty, please contact support@cultoftarotforum.com This is the best and quickest way to get a problem solved. If a forum-wide announcement is called for, an administrator will make one. Otherwise it is unnecessary to post technical issues in the forum.

POSTING:

  • Please familiarize yourself with the structure of the forum and do your best to post in appropriate places. We want your posts to get the attention they deserve and putting them in the right place will help with that. Just do your best, and if it needs to be moved, we’ll let you know.
  • Take care with the subject lines you create. Make them interesting and relevant to what you are posting. This is one of the most important factors to create and maintain a quality forum.

READINGS:

  • Individual forums will usually have guidelines posted. Generally speaking though, before asking for advice on a reading, have a go at it yourself first and then ask for feedback on your results. Not doing that and just expecting people to do your work for you is considered kind of rude. People here love to help and contribute so make an effort an you will earn their generosity and good will.
  • Please read the guidelines carefully for Group Readings & Circles and Skills Swap. These are great places to learn and practice the craft with others and it works brilliantly when everyone understands how it is structured and what is expected.

One last very important thing to know:

Don't leave people hanging!

If you ask a question or for feedback on a reading or offer something to sell or buy, be sure to acknowledge the responses. We have many people here who are extremely knowledgeable and generous with their assistannce, especially to new members. If anyone responds to your request for information or assistance, thank them. Respond and if possible, keep the conversation going.

Doing a hit-and-run is rude.

TIP: When you make a post, click the little wrench icon at the bottom of your post and click "subscribe." You will recieve a notification when anyone responds to the topic. You can also set a preference in the User Control Panel to have an email sent to you for certain notifications. This way you will never miss a response to your question.

And be patient. Good responses are worth waiting for. 💚

Most importantly, just have fun and help us work together to make Cult of Tarot an oasis of Tarot Learning and Art.

Thank you.
