The Liminal Tarot by Penelope Cline

The Liminal Tarot is an all-image tarot that can be read intuitively and/or with some knowledge of the RWS system.

The art was inspired partly by Thirteen's book of tarot card meanings and Lady Frieda Harris's wonderful paintings for the Thoth Tarot.
As well as the signed and numbered title card there is an extra card - The Threshold.

It was published in a limited edition of 250 sets and is now out of print.

The New Liminal Tarot by Penelope Cline

A redesigned and reformatted tarot-sized edition of the out of print Liminal Tarot.

There are 80 cards, including the title card and the poem, which may be used to decorate the plain white tuck box.

The Threshold card featured in the original signed and limited edition is not present.

The Line Defined by Wyatt J. Hesemeyer

A tattoo artist, Wyatt occasionally designed tattoos based on tarot cards.
This led him to design this full 78 card deck.

Each card was drawn by hand, using rapidograph pens, water color paper and sumi ink.
Hence, according to Wyatt, there may be wine stains, tears, corn chip dust, bird shit (a green cheek conure named Tecate) and fingerprints on some of the images, but I consider that to be a humanizing element that could help ground one in this often inhumane world.

The process took him two exhaustive years of drawing.

This is a Pyrographic Tarot deck.
Each image is an original drawing which is wood burned and oil painted.

Jessica has been an Artist and Tarot reader for 35 years.
This deck is a culmination of her life's study and work.

The Little Soul's Party by Penelope Cline


Imagine a fancy dress party inspired by the characters of the tarot majors, during which the little Fool spots a blue butterfly and steps right out of the frame.

Scenes of tarot and Lenormand follow, in which the life of this deeply symbolic little creature is reflected by the revellers in a never ending cycle.
The Little Soul's Party is a combination tarot majors and Lenormand deck in which some of the cards with identical titles - Sun, Moon, Star and Tower - serve both sets.
The High Priestess has become The Sibyl, The Hierophant is now The Alchemist, The Hermit is Time, Justice is Mother Nature, The Hanged Man is The Dreamer, Death is Transformation and Judgement is The Angel.

The two systems may be used separately or together, the only limit being to the method used being the reader's imagination...

il Lombardi Danneggiato from Duck Soup Productions
Although it's a wonderful "Marseilles" style deck, the Italian "Lombardy" Tarot isn't, to my knowledge, currently "in print" anywhere in the world.
So I decided to make my own.

Gathering images of the card faces from a variety of public domain resources, I first cleaned them up, resampled them in Photoshop... and then distressed the hell out of them.

The result is Il Lombardi Danneggiato.... a beat-up, battered and grungy deck
that looks every bit as old as an original Lombardy would be!

The Low Rider Dachshund Tarot by Melissa Wotherspoon In November 2017 I made the very difficult decision to say goodbye to my best dog, my little red dachshund, Stella.
Two days later, on a whim, I wandered into a psychic fair and sat down with a medium whose first words to me were, "there's a dog here".
The hour that followed was like the lightning bolt in the Tower card.
At the end of it, the medium pulled out a Rider-Waite-Smith deck and my past flooded in, as I hadn't seen that deck, the one I used on a daily basis, since my teens and early 20's.
Even though I had set tarot aside to make way for life stuff, it was like having a conversation with an old friend. I immediately went out and picked up a RWS deck (then a few more, and a few more after that!), using tarot as a tool for processing grief.
I hesitantly ventured into doing readings for others, and in giving people guidance, my grief was lessened.
A year later, with Stella's death still weighing heavily on my mind, I realized I needed a creative project to dive into.
Again, the thought came to me in a flash: A dachshund-themed tarot deck!
Following the initial idea, each card design came about strangely easily, and each 8x10 oil painting for the most part seemed to paint itself.
Opting for a horizontal orientation for this deck seemed like a natural fit.
I love the long backs of dachshunds, and their grounded, burrowing and snuggling nature, and I liked the thought of that being a parallel with the cards.
I feel I have achieved a grounded and settled feel by turning traditional tarot 90 degrees.
The name "Low Rider" is an homage to the dachshund and to the Rider Company, the publisher of the deck in 1910.
